In 2007, we hosted monthly video game events that lead up to The Inaugural Gathering of Gamers IMAX Tournament at The Science Center of Iowa. This was a huge success and allowed gamers to participate within four different divisions and offered a unique opportunity of playing your favorite video game in a massive IMAX theater!

In 2008, we worked with Children and Families of Iowa’s KidsFest, to provide a 9-station gaming booth that allowed the close to 16,000 visitors to enjoy all types of video games. We hosted a small Guitar Hero 3 tournament during the main day of the event and gave the kids and their families a fun place to experience some of the best new (and old) console video games.

Working with Boston’s Pizza Restaurant, we’ve developed tournaments that have been hosted at their location and been able to give away some exciting prizes during each event. At this time, we’ve ran a March Madness tournament and a Guitar Hero 3 tournament, while we continue to conceptualize more video game tournaments for this very large restaurant chain.

At Microsoft Tech-Ed 2008, we will be headed to Orlando, Florida with a 4 person team, to work with Brocade, an industry leader in data center networking solutions and a publically traded company. We will be managing an exciting video gaming element in the Brocade booth and helping to maximize their conference booth ideas and exposure.

We also have worked with smaller organizations, such as schools and private businesses, in developing their own ideas of how video games can enhance their business goals while offering gamers a chance to come together, compete in their favorite video games, and win some amazing prizes. It’s also fun to see people come back to each event and many have developed lasting friendships from these live gaming events and on GatheringofGamers.com.
