Ben McDougal, President of Jet Set Studio, has been in the Internet Development Industry since receiving his Computer Science degree in 2004. After residing in California and considering a full-time career in video game development, BEN fell into the Internet and has enjoyed working at one of the largest firms in Des Moines, Iowa for over 5 years. He has had experience within hundreds of different business markets and works on the Sales/Conceptualization Team at one of the largest website development firms in Iowa, Captain Jack Communications. This position allows Jet Set Studio to refer website development for clients with the confidence of working with an established, professional, and experienced company.

As a successful entrepreneur (and while also working at CJC), BEN first developed a full scale, outdoor 3v3 soccer event that has been running since 2006 and has averaged over 80 teams. With the recent growth of Jet Set Studio and needing to shift his focus on the video gaming and website development industries, BEN transitioned the concept and ownership of this tournament to a Des Moines area soccer club in 2008. The Iowa 3v3 Soccer Challenge is a great example of this company’s ability to manage a very large event, while still focusing on unmatched quality. This is where the video game event management services of Jet Set Studio originated.

Jet Set Studio originated when two friends, Ben McDougal and Andy Gaumer, had a concept to build an online community just for people who loved video games like they did. BEN and Andy worked to develop industry connections, spread the word about GatheringofGamers.com, and organized the company’s unique video game event management services. Without BEN, Andy, the development staff at Captain Jack Communications, GoG community members such as RyuBlitz, Dynafire, JackDaniels624, DecipherOne, and many others; this company would not be where it is today. In 2009, BEN purchased Andy’s shares of the company and is working to distribute ownership and equity opportunities to different individuals and organizations, in an effort to further expand the company’s product and services.
